About CuttingAge

CuttingAge helps adults 60+ find trustworthy activities, events, resources, and services—through a calmer, easier-to-use experience designed for everyday life.

Our story

CuttingAge started with a simple belief: we're lifelong learners—and capable of more than we think, at every age.

When our founder's father was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, her family began searching for treatment. What they found online was often overwhelming—too many tabs, too much jargon, and too little clarity. If finding support online felt overwhelming for his family, it was even harder for someone living with Parkinson's—someone whose hands, energy, or attention might vary from day to day.

Our founder observed her father struggled every day to learn more about his condition on the internet. So she built an interface with her father in mind—calmer, easier to read, and focused on what matters most. It was designed to support dignity, autonomy, independence, and freedom of choice, so he could stay active, engaged, and confident in a more digital world.

Along the way, she realized it could help many more people too. CuttingAge is designed to support people with different levels of tech comfort, living situations, and support needs—including caregivers searching for resources.

What we do

What we don't do

Designed with Older Adults

CuttingAge was created with the help of more than 100 older adults from different backgrounds, cultures, and languages.

They shared what it is like to use computers, tablets, and phones to look for information online. They told us what was helpful, what was confusing, and what could be easier.

Their ideas helped shape many parts of this website, from what and how information is organized to how simple and comfortable the site feels to use.

Many expressed how meaningful it was to be included in the process. Contributing gave them a sense of purpose and the opportunity to support something that could help others.

That is why their voices are so important to CuttingAge.

We hope this website does more than provide helpful information. We hope it also helps older adults feel connected, respected, and valued.
